Quotable Clays

The entire subjest of this post is vomit, so read only if you want!
Background: When I was about 10 I threw-up all over the carpet at the bottom of the steps, it was very large and disgusting (aren't they all?) My parents got really mad at me for not making it to the bathroom so they didn't have to clean it up.; if I remember correctly, I had to clean up after myself. I always hated that they got so mad at me, after all, I was sick, I didn't want to throw up!
So, now that I have my kids, I don't get mad or make a big deal out of vomit. Of course, I've said, 'If you can, it is better to throw- up in the toilet or in a sink or even a hard floor; and that carpet is the worst place.'

Apparently, Patrick was not listening. This morning he asked "Mom, is it okay if I throw up in the toilet?"
"Yes Patrick, that would be ideal."

Cory and Aaron are both home sick from school today, Patrick and the babies are also sick. At least it is a 24/48 hour sickness. A timely reminder that yes, the toilet is the best place to throw up is in order. But Mom won't be mad if you can't make it.

Trunk or Treat

Tonight was our Ward's trunk or treat and Halloween party. It is one of the children's favorite church activities. Here are the boys in their costumes: Sir Patrick, mighty knight!

Carissa was sick all day, so Carissa, Edmund, Andrew, and I stayed home and watched a Disney princess sing a long.

Patrick has caught up with Carissa

Carissa has always been a light, thin little girl; and Patrick has always been sturdy. Since he was about 18 months old, Patrick has always been about 5 ounds less than Carissa. Until yesterday, they both weighed exactly 44 pounds.
